Jordan Spieth Wins the John Deere Classic

Jordan Spieth became the youngest winner on the PGA Tour since Ralph Guldahi took the Santa Monica Open in 1931. He is the first teenager at 19 to win on Tour in the last 82 years. Yesterday Spieth won the John Deere Classic in Silvis Illinois by holding off David Hearn, and Defending Champion Zack Johnson in a 5 hole play off.

Jordan Spieth made miraculous hole out from a bunker on 18 to get into the playoff , and then out lasted the experienced group in the playoff to earn a spot in this weeks Open Championship at Muirfield in Scotland.

Spiethโ€™s great play is no surprise to people who follow the Tour. He was one of the Top amateurs in the world last year, played for the University of Texas and was a member of the 2011 Walker Cup team.
