Pearl Golf Couses:
Nothing’s more beautiful than a lovely set of twins, and that’s exactly what you get in the Pearl’s sister courses. Located just over the North Carolina border in Sunset Beach, the Pearl Golf Courses are built upon a former preserve of wetlands and salt marshes. The proximity to the ocean also allows for nice views of the beach and the courses also meander through maritime forests for a real feel of the Carolina low country experience.
Pearl West:
The 18-hole “West” course at the The Pearl facility in Calabash, North Carolina features 7,006 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Dan F. Maples, ASGCA, the West golf course opened in 1987. Pearl West Course features lots of open stretches along with thick displays of pampas greens. The 18th hole is an excellent finish to the course as well, placed along the bluffs overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
Oyster Bay:
Consistently ranked by Golf Digest as one of the country’s top courses, Oyster Bay features two island greens, marsh-oriented holes, rolling fairways with generous landing areas and sizeable undulating greens.
