Trump National Doral Miami has recently joined Trump Hotel Collection’s portfolio of spectacular five-star hotels. Recently a 200 million-dollar renovation has been completed (2013) restore Trump National Doral Miami to its former grandeur.

Doral has 5 championship golf courses: the TPC Blue Monster at Doral and the Gold Course, both redesigned in 1996 by Ray Floyd, and in 2013 Gil Hanse; the Desert-landscaped Greg Norman’s Great White, designed by Greg Norman; the Red Course with 2 island greens; and The Jim McLean Signature Course. The famous Blue Monster Course at Trump National Doral Miami has been home of the World Golf Championships-CA Championship for more than four decades. Gil Hanse was recently hired to preform the renovation to the Doral Course. Dick Wilson, and Raymond Floyd originally designed the Blue Monster. Gil Hanse’s renovation has improved every hole on the course but the 18th areas, and incredibly smooth putting surfaces will be well received from resort guest and touring pros alike. Hanse is under contract designing the new Olympic Golf Course in Rio de Janeiro Brazil for the 2016 Olympics. The Blue Monster with its challenging layout and scenic landscape carved from the land and water of the Everglades north of Miami, it is no wonder that it has been host to the prestigious PGA Tour event for so many years. To accommodate for the terrain’s flatness, natural water hazards are ever present. There are strategically placed bunkers that narrow many of the Blue Monster’s landing areas. There are also long fairways, undulating greens. New green complexes, more waste and thick Bermuda rough. The finishing hole, the golf course’s signature, has a stunning fountain that has made it one of the memorable holes in the country.
