Tiger is Back on Top

Tiger Woods is #1 in the world after his impressive win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational 2013. Tiger won by 2 stokes on a rare Monday finish on the PGA Tour. Tiger has now won 6 of his last 20 tournaments dating back to the start of last year.

Achieving #1 status again has not been an easy road. He dropped from the #1 spot back in October 2010 and eventually fell to #58 in the world. The golf world was in a weird spot for three years. There was speculation that Tiger woods would never be the same golfer he once was before the 9iron to the back of the Escalade heard around the world. There are a lot of critics that say he is not back until he wins a major again. This year Mr. Woods has already proven to me, and many others that the โ€œoldโ€ Tiger is back. He has won three tournaments this year out of the five he has played. Tiger has gained confidence with a girlfriend that supports him in Lindsey Vonn, and his putter is working like it did in 2008.

Iโ€™m going out on a limb here and predicting that he will win the Masters in two weeks. He is the obvious choice, and heavily favored to win by Vegas odds, but all signs point to a win at Augusta. He knows the course better than any player in the world, he has the most confidence right now of any player in the world, and I just donโ€™t see him giving this one away. He wants to win this major to put all the speculation to rest that he would not win another major after the dark period in his life. Tiger is back and ready to own the golf world. It looks like they will need his Jacket size at Augusta National.
